Welcome to Retiree Connect
Stay Connected after Retiring
Retirees are important members of the Xcel Energy network. The company and Xcel Energy Foundation offer a variety of ways for our alumni to stay engaged. From volunteering at Day of Service to supporting the Power Your Purpose Giving Campaign, our retirees help sustain the company’s legacy of staying committed and connected to our communities.
How to Get Involved
Matching Gifts
The Foundation matches retiree donations to eligible 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations dollar-for-dollar, up to $750 per year and to eligible educational institutions dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000.

Giving Campaign
Each fall retirees participate in the Giving Campaign by donating to causes they care about. Retiree campaign contributions are matched $.50 on the dollar to their local United Way. In 2022, we raised more than $5 million for our communities. Let's do it again!
Volunteer
Looking for volunteer opportunities? From the annual Day of Service in September to other activities throughout the year, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved and give back.

Join Day of Service next September!
Our retirees love to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand to those in need, especially at the company’s annual Day of Service where hundreds of employees, families and friends, customers come together to put good energy into action. More than 2,500 people volunteered at Day of Service in 2023.
